Welcome to The Well

The Well is a health and spirituality ministry which:

  1. fosters the wholeness and spiritual growth of individuals through experiential learning and practice,

  2. and fosters the wholeness of communities through programs that connect diverse people and build community, and through advocacy for healthier and more just systems.

Some of our programs and workshops include:

Cooking Well

(various healthy cooking classes, each with its own theme)

Cooking from the Farmer’s Market

(learning to shop for and prepare seasonal foods)

Living Well

(learning principles for balanced and healthy living)

THRIVE: A year-long personal wellness program

Food 101

(intro to gardening for young people)

Community Garden Start-up and Support

Healing Through Art

The Spirituality of Creativity

40 Days for Food Justice

(online devotional project)

ZenTangle

(a meditative form of art that anyone can do)

Ignatian Spiritual Exercises

(year-long spirituality program)

Centering Prayer

(a contemplative form of silent prayer)

The Well seeks to provide resources for any who seek greater health and deeper spirituality.

Most of the workshops and programs are available to anyone who is interested, regardless of age. However, we recognize that some programs can be more effective if tailored to the particular needs of a group of people. We have programs specifically geared toward the needs of a) families with school-age children, b) pregnant women, c) youth of all ages, and d) those in the second half of life.

The Well is a ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church, but our workshop teachers and programmatic leaders come from a variety of backgrounds and share a wide base of experience.

Everyone who serves in a leadership position with The Well is trained and (where appropriate) licensed or certified in their area of leadership.
